bank in order to raise liabilities and promote different Investment strategies. This was my
prime responsibility. Back to back Money Market, Capital Market and Derivative deals
formed part of my marketing strategy.
BoE being a clearing bank, meant that end of day clearing was one of my prime tasks.
Setting rates, quoting to corporate clients, branches and other divisions in the group as well
as managing and controlling of the quoted interest rates were another of my duties.
With the NBS/Boland merger and a year later the merger with BoE, I remained in the Cape
Town office within Treasury. My responsibilities still being:






