RT-1851A(C)
Increased bandwidth, power efficiency and
frequency range extension.
The Rockwell Collins RT-1851A(C) is the most current offering in
the ARC-210 Programmable Digital Communication System. A fully
digital transceiver, the RT-1851A(C) provides superior performance
in the transfer of data, voice and imagery.
Frequency extension to 512 MHz provides interoperability between
ground and airborne military forces and land-based civil agencies.
The RT-1851A(C) supports the revolutionary Bandwidth Efficient
Advanced Modulation (BEAM) technology that provides enhanced
communication with increased bandwidth efficiency. BEAM technology provides an information rate up to 80 kilobits per second
(kb/s) over a standard 25 kHz dedicated UHF SATCOM channel
which surpasses current data rates that are available for these
channels. Without BEAM, the highest data rate achieved over such
channels has been 56 kb/s using MIL-STD-188-181B, requiring more
than three times the signal power compared to BEAM.
