Objectives of the project
 The development of common fast and safe access to the
Internet in densely populated housing estate areas, with
a total lack of digital data
 The use of new computer and telecommunication
technologies for:
• Making a package of administrative services within the
framework of the e-office platform available to all residents
and entrepreneurs
• The opportunity for newly established enterprises to use the
services within the framework of the e-economy platform
• Making on-line e-work package services, available to
employees, persons seeking a job, persons enhancing their
skills, and employers
 The improvement of the city’s administrative work,
through the establishment of an integration platform for
all public services, within the framework of the portal of
www.gdansk.pl

The portal comprises:

e-office website

The objectives of the portal:
• an extension of the number of requests to be serviced via the
internet for residents, entrepreneurs and tourists
• integration of the office’s administrative services with issues
related to looking for and offering a job. The objectives are
being targeted in cooperation with entities who are starting
their economic activity and with the County Job Centre
• integration with the current www.gdansk.pl system and Public
Information Bulletin
Access points
Objectives:
• Making the office of residents from the outskirts of the city,
closer
• The possibility of servicing given requests, and later requests
that are more significant and using the services of public
administration, which can be easily understood in broad terms
•Resident Information Service Centres conveniently located in
different parts of the city (in Residents' Council buildings). A
properly protected and equipped room, in which it will be
possible to obtain information via the internet concerning what
and in what way the requests can be serviced at the Municipal
Office, fill in the form and send it, and in the future, make a
required payment, obtain a printout of a document or maps,
send one's opinion. 30-40 internet access points will be
ultimately established.
Technical infrastructure

Objectives:
• Extension the Municipal Offices' back office by:
- purchase of hardware (workstations, servers, mass storage)
- purchase of active and protective devices for the network
- extension of the present applications and adding new
functions to them
The planned results





The organisational units of the City of Gdansk functioning in
the estates will receive broadband and safe access to the
Internet
New platforms from the server will be started in the
organisational units of the City of Gdansk
Databases will create job offers, offers of people looking for
a work, offers up information providing services for
companies, and offers the availability of training sessions
and training institutions
Companies being established will start web pages in the
portal of www.gdansk.pl
New services will be made available within the framework
of the following platforms:

The improvement of access conditions to the internet in the
estates of the city and locations of the Residents
Information Service Centres
The improvement of the access to public information owing
to the extension and modernisation of the municipal
information resources and the commencement of access
points in the estates
The starting of new on-line services within the framework
of three integrated platforms: e-office, e-work, e-economy
New jobs within the area of new economy
The improvement of conditions for the functionality of
newly established companies
