 IT Business Analysis and Audit: Contracted by Terralliance, a global energy exploration company based

Designed the Operations and Quality Controls/Assurance for the firm’s Federal Tax Division, then managed
the creation of the firm’s Retail Division responsible for systemic high volume litigation.
 Business Unit Creation: Managed the successful creation of the Retail Litigation Division with over 30
employees and the transition to a new customized core system based on CUBS. Managed a team that
designed, developed and implemented technical processes interfacing with outside companies making

 Litigation Process Analysis: Analyzed the existing account management processes and designed new

Hired to manage IT, promoted to managing all operations as the company grew from 100 to over 250

 IT Automation: Analyzed all business processes and converted manual tasks such as scheduled file
transfers, repetitive reporting, and data manipulation into automated unattended processes monitored by
a Quality Assurance Specialist.
 System Conversion: Championed and managed a migration of the company’s core system from a VMS
terminal access system to a new system utilizing web based applications and a Linux based database with
a Windows SQL database mirror for reporting. Simultaneously managed projects for the new core
production application, conversion to a new software based phone system, and relocation of the central
office and data center with no interruption in production.
 Reorganization: Reorganized the Operations and IT departments resulting in a 29% reduction in cost
while new procedures and policies reduced a consistent two-week data submissions backlog to real-time.
 Growth Management: Managed 80% growth over a two-year period. Managed the move of our
headquarters and data center in Austin to a new building, then managed an expansion 18 months later to
accommodate additional business. Hosted two job fairs for expanding contracts with existing clients.
 SAS 70 Audit: Managed an in-depth audit of control activities and related processes. Successfully
demonstrated adequate controls and safeguards of process data to qualify for the SAS No. 70, the
authoritative guidance that allows service organizations to disclose their control activities and processes
to their clients.
 Client Networking: Introduced router to router VPN (Virtual Private Network) technology resulting in
increased margins and marketability. Managed the redesign of the network to include an SSL server in the
DMZ to allow customers and employees access to internal systems through a controlled platform.

 IT Quality: Instituted common practices and procedures with certification exams that improved efficiency

 Report Card: Designed and directed development of an automated report card system to poll users about
their satisfaction with resolved issues. Results were stored in a SQL database with a web interface and IT

 Standards: Supervised a team that instituted improved process flow for standards of application

 Data Center: Designed and supervised construction of a 2000 sq./ft. data center for the Austin, Texas
office relocation that included specifications for air handling, UPS and generator power supply connected
to a 24/7 Repair Operations Center, data cabling to patch panels and an FM200 fire suppression system.
 Network Monitor: Managed the design and implementation of a network monitoring system for routers,
switches, hubs and servers. Then led a team that implemented the system in eleven offices increasing
uptime from 98.225% (1999) to 99.999% (2000).
