Process • Porous material (paper) and a light colored surface • Spray on Ninhydrin & Acetone • Allow to dry • Place between a paper towel • With a steam iron the fingerprint will process a dark purple color • The steam is added to accelerate the drying process White Wet Wop & Black Electrical Tape White Wet Wop & Black Electrical Tape Process • Adhesive material (black electrical tape) with a dark colored surface • Paint on • Wait ten seconds • And then rinse off material with water • The fingerprint will show up white on a dark colored surface Rhodamine 6G Rhodamine 6G cont. Process • Non-Porous material (Bong) • Recommended light 495-540nm • Orange or Red filter used to block light • Spray on • Allow to dry • View underneath an alternative light source • In the photo 515nm was used with an orange filter Amido Black & Ninhydrin Acetone Ninhydrin & Acetone Process • Blood print on Porous material (Drywall) • Spray on • Let dry • Steam Iron with a paper towel placed over material Amido Black Process • Blood print on Porous material (Drywall) • Spray on • Rinse Immediately with water • Allow to dry • Prints will process as a black/blue color Black Magnetic Powder & Regular Black Fingerprint Powder Black Magnetic Powder Process • Black magnetic powder on non-porous material • Brush in circles over print • Remove excess with wand and rocket • Lift print with clear lifting tape • Place tape on white index card • Print will process black on a white surface Regular Black Fingerprint Powder Process • Regular Black Fingerprint Powder on nonporous material • Brush in circles over print • Remove excess with rocket blower • Lift print with clear lifting print • Place tape on white index card • The print will process black on a white background “I Killed Your Dog” “I Killed Your Dog” Process • The duct tape was removed using the air duster • Black Wet Wop was used to on the adhesive side of the duct tape • The duct tape was fumed in a Styrofoam cup • Black magnetic powder was used on the non-adhesive side of the duct tape • Ninhydrin & Heptane was used to develop all of the prints on the piece of paper
