UNIDAD WALK GREEN STAY HEALTHY THE LAURISILVA FOREST WALKING TRIP CEPA LAS PALMAS This time we are heading towards La Gomera where the National Park Garajonay is located.In this park we’ll find the best preserved Laurisilva forest in the Canary Islands. UNIDAD 5 laurisilva But what is laurisilva? • Laurisilva is a forest ecosystem of the subtropicl regions • It appears around the mountains in mild, humid and warm areas of: – Madeira, Canary islands, Cabo Verde and Azores archipielagos (Macaronesia). – Southeast of Brasil, Argentina, Paraguay y Uruguay. – Chilean Valdivia • in a Laurisilva forest you feel you are in the jungle!
