The premiere of The Nutcracker transforms the
classical ballet into a fairytale. Featuring a timeless
score from incredible composer Tchaikovsky, The
Nutcracker is a certified Russian classic, complete
with evocative music and beautiful dance.
This Christmas story is based on The Nutcracker and The Mouse King written by E.T.A Hoffmann. It
tells the story of Marie, a rather sad little girl, whose godfather Drosselmeyer gives her a Nutcracker
doll as a present on Christmas Eve. This doll then turns into a Prince, and the magic begins.
This ballet has captured the imagination of many generations over the years and continues to attract
audiences worldwide. A captivating story full of mystery and romance.
The Nutcracker will be at The Courtyard in the Main House on Sunday 10 November at 2.30pm. For
more information or to book tickets, visit the website www.courtyard.org.uk or call the Box Office
on 01432 340555.
