ENERGY
Energy is the ability to do work.
The principle of conservation of energy
The energy is neither created nor destroyed only transformed
Types of energy
There are some types of energy I’m going to speak about some of them:
The kinetic energy of a body is an energy that arises in the phenomenon of
motion. It is defined as the work required to accelerate a body of a given mass
from rest to the speed you have.
Electricity is called the form of energy that results from the existence of a
potential difference between two points, which allow an electric current
between two.
The potential energy is the ability of a body to do work
Chemical energy is a manifestation of energy. In particular,
is one aspect of the internal energy of a body and, although enalways encounter in the field, we are only displayed when a
intimacy of this alteration.
Nuclear energy is the energy that is released spontaneously or artificially in
nuclear reactions.
The energy can be renewable or no renewable.
Renowable energy
It is called renewable energy to the energy obtained virtually inexhaustible natural
sources, some for the immense amount of energy they contain, and others because
they are able to regenerate by natural means.I can clasificated in
HIDRAULIC ENERGY
The potential energy accumulated in the waterfalls can be transformed into electrical
energy.Hydropower plants harness energy from the rivers to operate turbines that drive
an
electric
generator. Spain uses
15% of
this energy to produce
electricity.
Biomass
The formation of biomass from solar energy is carried out by the process called
photosynthesis plant which in turn is triggering the biological chain. Through
photosynthesis, plants containing chlorophyll, convert carbon dioxide and water
without energy mineral products, organic materials with high energy content and in
turn provide food for other living beings. Biomass through these processes in the short
term stored solar energy in the form of carbon. The energy stored in the photosynthetic
process can be further transformed into heat energy, electric or fuel plant, again
releasing the stored carbon dioxide.
Solar energy
is a source of life and origin of most other forms of energy on Earth. Each year brings
solar radiation to Earth energy equivalent to several thousand times the amount of
energy consumed by humanity. Properly collecting solar radiation, this can be
transformed into other forms of energy as heat or electricity using solar panels.
Wind energy
is the energy from the wind, ie by using kinetic energy generated by air currents. A wind
turbine is a generator of electricity from wind kinetic energy is clean energy and also
the least expensive to produce, which explains the strong enthusiasm for this
technology
Geothermal Energy
Geothermal energy is energy that can be obtained by man through the use of heat
inside the Earth.
Part of the Earth's internal heat (5,000 ° C) reaches the earth's crust. In some areas of
the planet, near the surface, groundwater may reach boiling point, and therefore serve
to power electric turbines or to heat.
The heat inside the earth is due to several factors, among which the geothermal
gradient and the radiogenic heat. Geothermal comes from the Greek geo, "Land" and
the thermos, "hot", literally "heat of the Earth."
Tidal energy
is due to gravitational forces between the Moon, Earth and the Sun, causing the tides,
ie the difference in average height of the seas as the relative position between these
three stars. This height difference can be used in strategic places such as gulfs, bays or
estuaries using hydraulic turbines that stand in the natural movement of water, along
with pipeline and storage mechanisms, for movement on an axis. By coupling to an
alternator system can be used for electricity generation, transforming wave energy into
electrical energy, a form more useful and usable energy.
Nonrenewable
Fossil fuels are nonrenewable resources, we can not replace what we spend. At some
point, will end, and it may be a need for millions of years of evolution similar to tell them
again. Are those whose reserves are limited and will deplete with use. The major ones
are nuclear energy and fossil fuels (oil, natural gas and coal).
Nuclear energy
The atomic nucleus of heavy elements like uranium, can be disintegrated (nuclear
fission) and radiant and kinetic energy release. Thermonuclear power plants use this
energy to produce electricity through steam turbines. Obtained by breaking the atoms
of radioactive minerals in chain reactions that occur inside a nuclear reactor.
One consequence of the production activity of this type of energy are nuclear waste,
which can take thousands of years to disappear and take a long time to lose
radioactivity
I think than the best energy is the nuclear energy because, it is pollutant yes, the but is
the source that produces more energy and although contaminated, the amount of
energy that produces pollution offset with productivity that is. Could build plants in
more isolated places and so even if there is a less serious accident, the catastrophe.
