The Pacific Red Octopus can adapt to a great extension in the Northern Pacific
Coast. To begin, the first physical adaptation is that the octopus squirts ink. When the
octopus feels danger, it can squirt ink and hide somewhere else. The ink makes the
animals scared. It also helps the octopus retreat. If the octopus does not have this
adaptation he would probably be eaten. The second physical adaptation that allows
octopus to survive is that it changes color like a coral or a rock. This trait allows them to
survive in their environment because it makes sharks confuses by the rock and the
octopus. The third behavior adaptation is it hides on the rocks. The third adaptation
helps them to hide from its predators.
Habitat
The Pacific Red Octopus lives in the Pacific Ocean. They can be found from
Canada to Baja Mexico.
Appearance
The Pacific Red Octopus has 8 tentacles. All tentacles have suckers. The suckers
are to squeeze in holes. The octopus changes colors like rocks and corals. The suckers
can also get its food. The octopus has three hearts.
Diet
The octopus belongs to the species of the fish. Octopuses eat sharks, crabs, and
fish. Octopuses use its suckers to grab its food. Octopuses camouflage with rocks and
when its prey comes he jumps and grabs its prey. Some octopuses eat sharks and some
get eaten by sharks.
Something special
The octopus is the 1st most extreme disguise on the planet. The octopus can
