Across the many areas of competence at DTU Wind Energy, three projects have been executed during the
last year with specific focus on noise, systems engineering and materials. We would like to present the
results from these projects for you and discuss possible next steps.
The Noise project has focus on both noise generation and propagation and is based on numerical
simulations and experiments.
The Systems Engineering efforts has focus on establishing a simulation platform for the relevant parts of
the wind energy system, and a cost model has been developed and uncertainties has been quantified in
the design complex. The main focus in the Materials project has been leading edge erosion and main
bearing damages.
The day is arranged with a presentation of the overall results from all projects during the morning and in the
afternoon three break-out sessions will take place with the possibility of having in depth discussions. The
day will be concluded with refreshments and networking.
