Was there a creator?
Picture yourself waking up in a new home. As you begin to
walk around, you discover your favorite meal on the stove,
your favorite books by the fire and your favorite snacks on a
table while your favorite Netflix series is playing on the
TV. Your favorite art is hanging on the wall, your favorite
station is tuned up on the radio, and the thermostat is set to
your perfect temperature. You discover gift cards with your
name on each to your favorite stores. There’s free Wifi. To
top it off, the bed is turned down with your favorite color
sheets and bedspread await; your favorite toothpaste is in the
bathroom and even the roll of toilet paper is going the right
direction!
What would you conclude about the owner of this
home?
Just Right for Life
• Just the Right Distance (Not Too Hot, Not Too Cold)
• Just the Right Mass (to hold the right atmosphere)
• The right neighbors: Jupiter shields Earth from constant
stellar bombardment. Without it, scientists predict that Earth
would endure 10,000 times as many asteroid and comet strikes)
• The right core (protecting life from deadly solar radiation).
• The right Deep Blue Sea (abundant liquid water is the most
significant distinguishing factor on this planet that supports life.
• Just the right moon (gravitational tug creates tides)
• Just the right Protective Magnetic Field (if Earth did not
have a strong and stable magnetic field, we'd all be fried by
cosmic rays and solar storms).
