MSN 8100
SoftwareDefined Radio
Thales Naval HF Software Defined Radio is a versatile,
programmable and configurable receiver-exciter.
It can be operated independently as a stand-alone radio via the Local
Control Terminal (LCT 8100) and Local Audio Terminal (LAT 8100).
Alternatively it can be networked via its Ethernet interface to operate
within a totally integrated end-to-end naval communications system
offering voice, data, messaging and e-mail services.
Optimised for use on naval platforms, the MSN 8100 provides
excellent performance in terms of sensitivity, inter-modulation
performance and reciprocal mixing for operation in severe co-site
environments. This can be further enhanced by the addition of the
Pre- Post Selector (PPS).
The equipment as supplied has a suite of functional waveforms.
On top of which it has the inherent capability for the addition
or exchange of other waveforms solely by software.
The product has the flexibility to be configured for up to four lines of
HF. Each line can be designated as a receive or transmit channel in
conjunction with the PA 8100 1 kW & 500 W power amplifiers.
