First Light Craft Show

Applying is Simple
The following criteria have been developed to improve and secure top quality
standards for the show. Huronia Historical Parks would like to represent a
balanced cross section of medium, to promote Ontario’s diversity by presenting
the best of crafts, designs, and products.
Does your craft meet the following Acceptance Criteria?

You must be the designer, maker, creator, and producer of the work (original art or
craft products made in Canada).
Craft products may be inspired by nature, be of traditional/heritage or
contemporary art and craft medium.
Craft products should be of the highest standards of design, workmanship,
originality and innovation, and will be assessed accordingly.
Please do not send samples of your product(s) but we welcome photos of
your work.

Dates are Thursday November 27th, Friday November 28th and Saturday
November 29th, 2014
Show hours are 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Rate is $70.00 plus HST ($79.10) for a booth approximately 64 square foot in
size
Entry to the show for the visiting public is included in the price of regular
admission to the historic site. Admission fee to First Light is $10.00 per
person, children 5 and under are FREE
Smoking is not permitted in the buildings or on the historic site. Smoking is
allowed in the parking lot only
No food or drink are permitted in the museum

Newspaper advertisements throughout Central Ontario
Two-week radio campaign on Central Ontario station
Poster campaign to Midland and Penetanguishene hotels, retailers and
attractions, Barrie and area hotels and Travel Information Centres
Media release to Central Ontario newspaper, television and radio stations
Promotion of the event listed on 55,000 Sainte-Marie brochures; listed on
website and electronic highway sign
Event is reflected in multiple core print advertising including the Ontario Motor
Coach Association directory, the Quebec Bus Owners Association directory,
Ontario Travel directories across the province, and in multiple web advertising
On-site signage and plasma television messaging directing visitors to
museum exhibitors areas
