Introduction to this video
An inspiring PhD. student from MIT (one of the top science and technology universities in the
world) shows children how they can use free software to create their own computer games. A
fun introduction to basic computer coding, which helps children to think logically and be
comfortable using numbers.
What are the Interesting People Videos?
Talks for children from some of the world's most interesting and clever people. The talks give
children expert ideas on curriculum subjects and other important topics the children might not
have thought about before. We hope the talks help boost children’s enthusiasm for topics they
know and spark interest in important subjects they hadn’t previously considered.
How videos can be used
Class discussion questions will come up on screen throughout the video, so you can press pause
and have a conversation with your class before moving on. The videos all end with a final
question to the class. Some of them also suggest activities that you can do afterwards as a class
or ask the children to do as homework.
