FAQs: Q: What is a PayCard? A: Instead of receiving a paycheck, you get a card which you keep in your wallet. Use the card to make purchase or get cash from ATMs. Each pay period, the amount of your pay is deposited in the account that funds your card. Q: Is the PayCard a Credit Card? A: No. Even though it has a Visa logo on it, the Wells Fargo PayCard is not a credit card. You can only spend what you have earned, since you are using your own pay from your employer. Some merchants charge a $1 fee per transaction. To avoid this fee, treat the PayCard like a credit card and sign for the purchase instead of using a pin number. Q: Do I need to be approved before I use it? A: To get the card, you only need to complete and return the enrollment application to Foundation Payroll. Wells Fargo Bank will mail the PayCard to your home. Q: How do I know how much money I have left on my card? A: There are three ways to check your balance: 1. Check your monthly statement which is mailed to your home. 2. Visit Wells Fargo’s website: https://www.wellsfargopaycard.com/index.cfm 3. Call 1-866-298-9378, toll free, and use the automated account information system. Q: What happens if my card is lost or stolen? A: Your card automatically carries the WellsProtect program at no added cost to you, so you are not responsible for unauthorized purchases made by someone else using your card or card number. Just tell Wells Fargo right away if your card is lost or stolen. Q: Does it cost anything to get my PayCard? A: No. It costs nothing to request your PayCard. However, to avoid a $20 overdraft fee, please check your balance regularly. p/payroll/group/Payroll Debit Card Instructions.doc 10/22/2007
