Applied Computational Intelligence and Soft Computing
Special Issue on
Computational Intelligence for Modelling Complex
Systems
CALL FOR PAPERS
Computational intelligence is a powerful paradigm to deal with real-world complex
problems. It comprises a wide range of computational methods such as evolutionary
and bioinspired computation, stochastic methods, machine learning, neural networks, deep learning, and fuzzy logic.

In recent years, modelling complex systems has received great interest from
researchers and practitioners. Complex systems appear in engineering problems,
biological systems, social science phenomena, medical applications, and so on where
a high number of components interact among each other. The development and
analysis of computational intelligence techniques to deal with modelling complex
systems is expected to provide a great impact not only in the forthcoming research
but also in our society.

In this special issue we try to integrate novel computational intelligence techniques
and methods to be applied to modelling complex systems and optimizing known
models of complex systems, not only in the scope of applications of traditional
natural sciences, but also in opening the scope to the social sciences framework.
We invite authors to contribute high quality research as well as review articles
that demonstrate successful application of computational intelligence methods for
complex systems.
Potential topics include but are not limited to the following:
Mathematical modelling for complex systems
Biomedical modelling for complex systems
Mathematical modelling with uncertainty for complex systems
Fuzzy optimization for complex systems
Optimization and evolutionary algorithms for complex systems
Intelligent data analysis for complex systems
Engineering models and simulation for complex systems
Intelligent computing for complex systems
Interval mathematics analysis and computations for complex systems
Authors can submit their manuscripts through the Manuscript Tracking System at
http://mts.hindawi.com/submit/journals/acisc/cimcs/.
Papers are published upon acceptance, regardless of the Special Issue publication
date.
