Constructed by DORA Construction, the Kubes produce ice while concurrently taking
heat out of the ice that is sent throughout the building. It is possbile, and currently
scheduled for the arena to operate 365 days a year because the steady temperature of
the earth (geothermal) provides the energy source for the rink.
The arena features radiant heating throughout the bleacher seats, rink apron, front
lobby and walking track for spectator comfort. The arena area can be air conditioned
with the Kubes for concerts and shows.
