Community Basketball Coaches Meeting

Rules Clarification
o 4th-8th grade- For the last 2 minutes of the second half (of the game)
coaches can use any substitution pattern they would like.



Coaches Conduct
Trophies will be passed out at teams’ last game of the season. .
Alpha Sports
o Feedback
All-star 4th-8th grade dates information and game times
o Selections must be turned in by Saturday, February 11th
 Will send out ballot with number of players Friday, January 27th
and Saturday, January 28th. I am out of town this weekend which
was my original dates the 20th and 21st.
o Coaches and teams will be chosen by a blind draw. If a coach is selected
and their child is selected that is the only player that will be placed on
coaches team. All other players will be placed using blind draw format.

o Free throw competition: Will take place last week of the season. If you
have a bye free throw shooter will shoot at a game the last week of the
season. I will make arrangements with that coach. Winners will advance to
shoot at halftime of the all-star game
o 6th grade: Friday, March 3rd 6:30pm
o 7th/8th grade: Friday, March 3rd 7:45pm
o Coaches vs. Staff: Saturday, March 4th 10am ( All coaches are welcome )
o 4th grade: Saturday, March 4th at 11:15am
o 5th grade: Saturday, March 4th at 12:15pm


Coaches plaque
o Two coach’s plaques will be given to each team. If you want to order
more the cost is $15. Make checks payable to Cherry Hill Studio must be
given to me by January 28th or contact Cherry Hill directly 815-729-2887.
End of season Parties for teamso If you want a room at the Recreation Center please contact me. No cost
and must be scheduled before March 18th.
Coaches as pass the halfway point in the season I would like to thank you for
your volunteerism and time for the program could not do it without you.
Remember to keep on teaching the fundamentals of the game to all your
players and get your whole team involved in practice and in games.
