HAMMER KICKING ACADEMY
HOME OF THE TOP 40
CHICAGO CAMP (TOP PERFORMERS)
JAKE TOWNSLEY – The best transfer in the country continued to show how talented he was in all
phases. Won the field goal competition and showed range back to 60+, and also hit kickoffs 815 yards deep all day. The former d2 full scholarship kicker will be an asset to any program in
the country in January.
JOSH LAZARO - The field goal runner up and Western Illinois recruit was smooth and consistent
on field goals all day. Josh was a Top 40 member and continued to show tremendous ability
off the ground and is automatic from 48 and in. Josh also kicked off better than we have seen,
and continues to be super productive for his high school team.
COLE SMITH - The Cincinnati commit could have the best elevation in America, he is smooth and
consistent and when he stays tall and keeps his chest from dipping he is automatic. Has huge
range on field goals and should be a big addition for the Bearcats.
JACK PRUBAN – Jack had the best kickoffs of the day routinely hitting 4.1 – 4.3 70-75 yard
kickoffs. His field goals are high and d1 ready off the ground and he is being heavily recruited
in the Midwest. Expect Jack to come off the board very quickly in the coming months.
CHANDLER WILKINS – The Auburn transfer and ECC punter was phenomenal and dominant all
day. A finalist in last man standing and the punting bracket, Chan is capable of starting for any
school in America this Saturday.
JOSH GORBALL – The first Top 40 invite of 2017, Josh is a big time talent in the class of 2018. His
leg strength is easily the top of the class and as he continues to grow with his form and contact
he is going to be a super prospect. Josh also is a big time developing punter who won the last
man standing section of punting.
TIM WILLET – The three time All American and NFL free agent was at camp as a campers and
showed off his big time leg with 5.43 and 5.35 in the finals of punting. The all-time record
holders at Louisiana College expect Tim to be a futures prospect in January for NFL Teams.
CALEB GRIFFIN – The second Top 40 invite of the 2017. Caleb has a future at the FBS level. His
field goals are god enough to be top 15-20 in the class of 2017, and he should dominate the
camp circuit this summer for the Class of 2018. Kickoffs showed improvements throughout
the day, a big time d1 prospect.
JACK TILLER – Jack was a top 40 selection and showed his punting potential hitting balls
routinely over 4.4 – 4.5 and 43-49 yards and continues to show great lift on his field goals. The
University of Indy recruit is going to be a super college player.
TYLER HOWELL – A Top 40 snapper and a TOP PERFORMER at the TOP 40, won snapping and
may be the best available snapper in the country. The South Alabama, Northern Illinois and
Middle Tennessee recruit may have the most potential of any snapper in the country, and at
6’3” 225 has huge college potential.
BRETT WAGNER – The mid-year transfer continues to show big time field goal ability and has all
the tools to be a d1 kicker. His lift is d1 ready and with improved kickoffs can really grow into a
great FCS kicker.
MATT SEVERINO – Matt is a very good combo and is very talented at both kicking and punting
with a very explosive leg. The ball jumps off his foot on kickoffs and he has big potential as a
FCS combo.
JOEY METCALFE – Joey had a strong day kicking off and kicking field goals the 5 star kicker and
Illinois recruit continues to show FBS talent and a strong leg on kickoffs and field goals, expect
Joey to be kicking off at a Power 5 school next year.
KELVIN SANDERS – The last Top 40 invite from camp – Kelvin is great prospect and is continuing
his flexibility will allow him to develop as an elite kicker and punter. His field goals were ahead
of his punts at camp but he has a lot of potential and will be one to watch as his continues to
mature on the field.
TYLER ZABLOCKI – The midyear enrollee and former PA all state punter won the last man
standing competition with a 4.97 53 yard ball, but needs to continue drop work and cut down
his 3 step approach.; a definite mid-year commitment that will develop over the next few
months.
2018 Devin Tambling also showed impressive growth throughout the day and will be one to
watch for a TOP 40 invite this winter and spring. Field goal champ was Jake Townsley, Punting
Champ was Tim Willet, Snapping Champ Tyler Howell – see everyone next week in Michigan.
