Job Title: Reports To: Position Status: Inside Sales Representative Regional Sales Manager Non-Exempt Overview As a key contributor toward attainment of corporate revenue growth, the inside sales representative has responsibility for quickly, accurately and professionally responding to inbound calls from existing and prospective customers, conducting customer needs analysis, educating callers on the full range of Hoosier Lottery products, matching customer needs with our product offerings. Responsibilities also include making outbound sales calls to existing and prospective customers in order to generate new business, and further educate them on the full value of Hoosier Lottery services. Ability to identify opportunities, qualify and close sales is key. The inside sales representative is also responsible for conducting face-to-face sales presentations and meetings at our home office, customer locations or at various trade shows and seminars. The inside sales representative is expected to make creative, innovative, and strategic contributions based on fundamental marketing principles, relevant experience, and a thorough understanding of target customers. Job Responsibilities Monitors and adjusts retailer instant ticket inventories to assure each retailer is sufficiently stocked with tickets for fast-selling games and has minimal returns at game end; Maintain daily call schedule to meet maximal effectiveness; Prepare various reports to reflect sales activities of assigned accounts; Responsible for assisting retailers with ticket orders; Check and assess retailer’s inventory on every call by utilizing OrderPad; Report and track tickets that were not delivered on a daily basis; Relay to retailers any information on special events, promotions and winners in their area ; Relay all pertinent information to customers regarding upcoming games and ending dates for games; Assist retail accounts to correct problems that inhibit ticket sales ; Respond to incoming retailer or player contacts providing customer service and/or problem solving assistance to facilitate the sales of or participation in Lottery games; Train and educate retailer staff on use of Hoosier Lottery in-store gaming technology and Hoosier Lottery retailer policy and procedures; Provide coverage for LSR vacation and PTO days; Communicate on a daily basis (as needed) with LSRs concerning issues, obstacles or opportunities in accounts that have been called. Job Requirements Bachelors degree with a minimum of two (2) years experience in customer contact by phone; Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing; Ability to effectively and formally present Hoosier Lottery product line to decision makers; Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships; Ability to represent the Hoosier Lottery in a professional, dignified, courteous fashion; Must be self-motivated; Must be task and team oriented.
