Position Opening: Demo Driver/Trainer

Location: Base location Breckenridge, TX
We currently have an opportunity for a Driver/Trainer to demonstrate commercial and
residential refuse trucks. As a manufacturer of refuse bodies, we need to place our products
in the hands of our customers for evaluation purposes and require a Driver/Trainer to help
showcase our trucks features and benefits.
Full-Time Position Available
POSITION SUMMARY
A Demo Driver/Trainer is responsible for safely operating, demonstrating and training customers and
potential customers in the following refuse trucks Front Loaders, Side Loaders & Rear Loaders. Your
past experience in training others will allow you to boost the confidence level of anyone you train in
the operations and benefits of our products. Travel will play a significant role at 50% to 75% travel
nationwide.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Performs Daily Pre-and Post-Trip inspections as set forth by D.O.T. guidelines.
* Maintains clean truck and washes exterior weekly. Inspect/Clean Truck: Lift hood, inspect
under the hood, walk around and check under carriage; pump gas, check fluid levels and air
tires - Uses air gauge, dipstick for levels, and gas pump nozzle for gas fill.
* Prepares, maintains, and submits required company and regulation-mandated reports and
documents;
* Must comply with all Department of Transportation and State requirements for operators
of commercial motor vehicles.
* Must have obtain or be able to a Class A or B CDL valid for the state of Texas in which the
position works. Requires a clean driving record.
* At least 5 years of previous experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL within the past 7
(seven) years
* Understand refuse collection policies, procedures, guidelines and practices; understanding
of Department of Transportation and State requirements for operators of commercial motor
vehicles.
* Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction
* See in the normal visual range with or without correction
* Exhibit normal range of body motion
* Drive a front-end, side, rear-end, or roll off loading refuse truck, including right-hand
driver's position on certain equipment, observing legal and defensive driving practices.
* Manipulate heavy equipment control levers
* Ability to perform pushing, pulling, bending, lifting of up to 75 pounds throughout the shift
with or without reasonable accommodations. As well as climb into and out of a truck
repeatedly.
* Follow a designated refuse collection route or work schedule;
* Understand and carry out oral and written instructions;
* Maintain written records and service responses.
* Must be able to speak and read English well enough to communicate with customers, coworkers, dispatch and super visors, understand highway and traffic signals, and be able to
make legible entries on paperwork.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is performed indoors, outdoors, and at multiple facilities across North America;
requires constant physical efforts, and the ability to bend, reach, stoop, and lift objects;
may be exposed to safety hazards and dangerous tools and equipment; safety
precautions must be followed, including use of safety equipment.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED
High School or GED equivalent.
Must be at least 21 years of age and hold or be able to obtain a current valid Texas CDL
Driver License to drive a company vehicle.
 Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a training capacity preferably with refuse trucks.
 Must possess good communication skills and professional manner when relating to
customers, staff, suppliers and residents alike.
 Must be organized and have ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to
detail.
 Must demonstrate exceptional problem solving and customer service skills, be able to
communicate, read, speak and write the English languages, and perform simple math
calculations.


