Supplemental File: Video The video shows the soleus fibres transfer technique applied on a left Achilles
tendon. The patient is prone, with his left ankle lied on a sandbag and the feet overhanging the operating
table. After a lateral paratendon skin incision, the infero-lateral portion of the soleus muscle is reached. One
of its bundles is gently detached in its proximal part. One full-thickness longitudinal incision is performed,
and any degenerated area is removed. The soleus bundle is flipped 180° and put into the tendon in a
“sandwich” way. Its free side is anchored to the tendon; then the tenotomy is closed with absorbable sutures.
Finally, after tourniquet deflation, the blood supply from the bundle to the tendon is checked.
