Career Overview
I have a background in media. I used to be a journalist in Vietnam, specializing in international
news. Then I decided to change my career to Computer Science. I am currently pursuing a PhD
in Data Mining at University of California in Riverside, where I received a Dean’s Distinguished
Fellowship Award, under the supervision of Prof. Eamonn Keogh.
Prior to moving to USA, I lived in Melbourne, Australia for more than five years. I had affiliation
with RMIT, where I had worked part time as a tutor/lab assistant for a number of undergraduate
and postgraduate courses and had involved in several summer research projects since 2013.
I am a Vietnamese citizen and an Australian Permanent Resident under the Skilled Independent
visa subclass 189.
