Dear Parents,
Can you believe that we are half way through the year? Time has gone by so quickly! Your
children have grown so much in so many wonderful ways. You should be very proud of your children
as we are very pleased with their progress! This is a busy month, so really try to read all the materials
that come your way. Thanks so much for your help and support! Happy February!

Language Arts:
Important Information:
Please take time to review homework/spelling words
with your child. Some children have not been turning
in their homework consistently. Please have your child
bring it in on Friday.
Math: measurement/addition and subtraction strategies
Reading: reading to be informed
reading for literary experience
Writing: writing to inform and opinion
*Please practice your word wall words and
read every night.
Social Studies: Famous African Americans
Abraham Lincoln and George Washington
A list of your child’s classmates will come home soon to Science: Geography/environment
use when addressing Valentine’s cards. If your child is
participating, please make sure a card is included for each
child.
We are in need of some supplies. If you can donate any
items below, it would be greatly appreciated:

Clorox wipes
Tissues
