Research an artist that links into yours current personal project work. Make a careful copy of at least 2 pieces of artwork created by your
chosen artist, which you can incorporate into an artist research double page spread. Find out information about how and why the artist
created these pieces of artwork. Bring all of the information and work you have done to the next art lesson so we can discuss how it will be
developed into a double page spread.
Produce an update on „This Week‟ in the news. What have been the main issues?

If you have not already done this, download a copy of the specification and copy the subject content text into a word document. Reformat this into a suitable revision checklist for each unit of work.
Now copy the text from the skills appendices and make yourself a set of skills sheets – make sure that you are familiar with key terms
from exam questions and have the basic mathematical skills that are expected.
Download relevant past papers and mark-schemes and work through all past questions that you can now do/. Even if you have
done some of them before in class and homework, revisiting them will help reinforce your learning and confidence. Legacy
papers are also useful so look through for relevant questions. As a rough guide…
2804 Central Concepts… questions cover aspects of F214 such as respiration and photosynthesis
2805/2 Applications of genetics some good questions on linkage, epitasis, selective breeding and evolution but use these papers
with caution as they are more specialised and detailed than F214 papers
2806 Unifying Concepts…
this is a general mixed bag of questions designed to be synoptic so dip into these very selectively
– they will cover bits from the whole of the AS/A2 legacy specifications
Bring what you have done to the next lesson with queries and questions that need to be addressed.
Research CFCs concentrating on the following:
History, structures, chemical reactivity, range of applications, nature of influence on the ozone layer, part played by satellite data and the fact
that the first data was dismissed automatically as being erroneous, implications for unpopular views in science which go against the
consensus.
If you have internet access, research a poet (Chaucer/Donne etc) who wrote at the same time as your set poet who you will be studying in
the exam. Make a PowerPoint, or paper project based on your findings about their work and life.
Do a close analysis of one of the scenes that you have not studied yet: “What attitudes are revealed in XXX scene, and how are they
revealed?”
Read another text that is written by your one of your playwrights: Marlowe/Shakespeare: these texts are available online as ebooks, or free
if you have a kindle.

Write a play script of an extract of the play you are devising for Unit 3 with one of the stage directions and illustrative diagrams where
necessary as well as the dialogue, or plan a rehearsal of a section of the play you are studying for Unit 4 ie “Lysistrata”.
Students should get on with individual coursework or prepare revision notes on the most recently completed theory topic. Further research
work would be emailed to students.

Prepare and plan essays on the topic you are currently studying.
Each student is given a list of questions at the start of each module for each topic and will be made aware that that is their snow task.
Compile glossaries or create timelines for the events we are studying at the moment.
Reading for your investigation coursework assignment.
Go onto the VLE and choose a past paper for the module that you are currently studying. Complete as much of it as possible and mark it
using the mark schemes provided. Bring it into the next lesson ready for discussion with the rest of the class.
Coursework always comes first (the snow makes a great background for Perfume ads for instance).
If you have time, watch TV News and listen to Radio broadcasts to prepare for the following discussion “How does weather, particularly
snow, effect the Schedules across the UK Media?”
Continue to work on ideas for your current composition.
Find out how optical telescopes work and list some uses.
Find out how non-optical telescopes work and list some uses.
Find out the similarities and differences between the two types of telescopes.
Read and make notes on the next topic in your text books and then answer questions from the text book or the question bank.
