Here are some examples: 99 Lowering the amount of salt you eat 99 Understanding how much fluids you can drink (fluid-restricted diet) 99 Lowering the amount of cholesterol in your diet 99 Losing weight or gaining weight 99 Managing heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease with diet 99 Healthy snack and meal ideas 99 Reading labels 99 Making good choices at the grocery store 99 Food portions 99 Planning menus 2 A dietitian can also answer questions you have about food or nutrition and give you information that you can take home. What can I expect when meeting with the dietitian? You and the dietitian will talk about your current eating habits and ways to improve or change what you eat. The dietitian may gather information like your height and weight. How can I contact the dietitian?
