STARS - AN INTRODUCTION
Stars are balls of burning gas.
Different types of gases make the star burn.
They give off light and heat.
The Sun is a medium sized star.
It is bigger than all eight planets combined!
However, there are stars a lot bigger than the Sun!
The largest stars are called
supergiants.
Very small stars are
dwarfs.
There are many stars hotter than the Sun.
The hottest stars are
.
Stars that are coolest are

STARS - AN INTRODUCTION
After a star explodes it is called a
supernova.
The stars are always in the sky.
We just can't see them during the day because the sun is so
bright.
As the Sun starts to set and the sky darkens, the stars become
visible to us.
