nature.
What Are Demigods?
Demigods are half god half human. This occurs
when a god has a child with a human. Some
examples of this are Jason, Hercules and
Achilles.
Achilles
Achilles is the son of the minor sea goddess
Thetis and Peleus, king of the Myrmidons. He
was bathed in the River Styx held out by only his
heel. Achilles was asked to go to fight for the
Greeks in the Trojan war. He was killed by an
arrow shot by Paris which was guided to Achilles
heel by Apollo.
Jason
His father was Aeson and no one new who his
mother was. He formed the Argonauts with his
ship Argo. He was married to the sorceress
Medea. He went to take the golden fleece to
regain the position of rightful king.
Heracles
Heracles is the son of Zeus and Alcmene. He did
the twelve labors which were to slay the
Nemean lion, slay the hydra, capture the
Ceryneian hind, capture the Erymanthian boar,
clean the Augean stables in one day, slay the
Stymphalian birds, capture the Cretan bull, to
steal the mare of Diomedes, obtain the girdle of
Hippolyta, obtain the cattle of the monster
Geryon, steal the apples of the Hesperides and
to capture and bring back Cerberus.
Mythical beasts
Some mythical beasts include the fury, the fates,
the gorgons, the hydra, Scylla and Charybdis
The Fury, the Fates and the Gorgons
The Fury are deities of the underworld and
pursue the wicked. The Fates use their sowing
string and scissors to create fate. The Gorgons
