Assignment: Find a school appropriate advertisement that is sending some sort of conditional message to its
audience. For example:
A conditional statement for this Coca-Cola advertisement COULD BE
“If you drink a Coca-Cola, then you will feel refreshed.”
Requirements: You must write a conditional statement that relates
to the message you believe is being advertised. You must also write a
corresponding converse, inverse, and contrapositive statement.
You may cut out and use the bottom half of this page as a format for
your statements if you would like. YOUR AD MUST BE DISPLAYED ON THE
SAME PAPER AS YOUR STATEMENTS! Your ad and statements should be on
construction paper, card stock, or a mini poster (not on notebook paper).
We will NOT be evaluating the truth values of these statements because advertisements are opinion based.
Grading: You will be graded on correctness of your statements as well as creativity and neatness of your final
product.
