General Purpose: To Inform
Specific Purpose: The audience will understand why the Greeks created Greek Mythology
Organizational Pattern: Topical
Thesis Statement: Greek Mythology was created to use as an explanation and reasoning in not
only the lives of Greeks but everyone.

Transition: But in order to understand Greek Mythology you must first understand the Greek
Gods’ starting with Zeus.
2. Zeus
A. Speech (God of the sky (lightening/thunder/rain) Supreme God)

Transition: Zeus may be the Supreme God, but his second in power is his brother Poseidon
3. Poseidon
A. Speech (God of the seas (trident can shake the earth))

Transition: Last of the main three Gods is Hades.
