About the productions
Et Dukkehjem( A Doll’s House)
A Norwegian production by Teater
Visjoner.
An intimate performance staged
in the authentic livingroom of the
Ibsen family house at Venstøp.
The performance is true to Ibsen’s
original play and its contemporary
environment in both scenography
and costumes.
For more information about the
performance, click here.
Nora. Nûrê. A Turkish staging of A Doll’s
House.
Nora. Nurè combines the story of
the two women Nora and Nûrê. The
performance challenges the bounda
ries between classic and contemporary
visions, the East and the West, the tradi
tional and the modern. The similarities
between the stories of Nûrê, originally
told by traditional Kurdish storytellers,
and the Norwegian Nora add a universal
dimension to Ibsen’s play.
For more information, click here.
Nora’s Doors. An Egyptian dance
performance by Lamousika.
Nora’s Doors focuses on the last
scene of A Doll’s House where
Nora slams the door and leaves her
house, her family and her life as
she knows it. The symbolic act of
slamming the door, finding an exit
and finally searching for a path is
the centre of the theatrical search.
The performance reflects upon the
Egyptian Nora’s of today.
