Extra Credit Essay Irony in Two Short Stories Read the following short stories: “The Necklace,” by Guy de Maupassant, and “A Man Who Had No Eyes,” by Mackinlay Kantor. Be sure to note examples of irony in each story. (These stories can be found on my homework website or Google them). Write an essay that discusses the importance of irony in each of the stories. Below is a suggested guide to organize your essay, but you may feel free to organize your writing any way you’d like. Paragraph 1
*Write a literary introduction to both stories.
*Be sure to introduce your own crafted thesis about IRONY.
(Perhaps generally introduce the meaning of irony and that
authors use it as a technique in their writing).
