Outdoor Wireless Access Point Installations
at the Secondary Schools is 41%
Frankie Jackson visited Bleyl middle school on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, to introduce herself
to the Infratel team. Infratel is the subcontractor that is working with Layer3 to install the
outdoor wireless access points. This summer, the focus of outdoor wireless installations is at
the secondary schools. Currently, the team is ahead of schedule and is 41% complete. The
team is installing outdoor wireless at the campuses in order of highest free and reduced lunch
status first. The outdoor wireless will provide students network and Internet connectivity from
the outer perimeter of the building, 24 hours a day. The installation schedule is available here.
