There are 4 different kinds of fronts: cold fronts, warm fronts, stationary fronts and occluded fronts. May bring violent thunderstorms. After the front passes, temperatures become cooler. Warm air advances into a region occupied by cold air. Stratus clouds bring rain. After the front passes, temperatures become warmer. Cold and warm fronts meet, but neither can overtake the other. It brings several days of clouds and rain.
