2017 marks NST’s golden anniversary, 50
years on from being founded by a maths
teacher in Lancashire in 1967. In fact, some
of our first young travellers may now even
have grandkids of their own ready to embark
on a school travel experience with us.
We’ve worked alongside thousands of teachers just like
you over the years, and what we create together is truly
exceptional. Children return enlightened and inspired,
with positive memories and friendships that will last a
lifetime.
With half a century’s experience under our belt,
today we’re able to offer you so much choice, advice,
reassurance and support every step of the way:
curriculum-linked visit experiences; destination
knowledge; the reassurance of safety management
and financial protection; and of course our full support
whilst you’re away. You’ll find a wealth of information
about NST and what we offer at www.nstgroup.co.uk/

HARRY POTTER WORKSHOPS
A programme of educational workshops has been created to
complement the Studio Tour. There are subject-specific options
available for English, drama & performing arts groups, providing
options for both GCSE and A-Level groups. These workshops are
delivered in a purpose-built classroom and use the Harry Potter™
film series as an example of the wider context and theories
surrounding filmmaking. You’ll even get access to free downloadable
pre- and post-visit resource packs to use in the classroom.
Pitching - All films begin with an idea. This workshop is designed to encourage
pupils to come up with their very own film idea and condense it into a pitch of
25 words or less which would sell it to a film executive.
Instructional Writing - In this workshop, pupils will learn the secrets behind
how animal actors are trained for, and used within, films. They’ll then write
their own instructions for an animal to perform. A special appearance by star

I have one word for our tour...exceptional! The two Artistic Directors at Disney were very, very good. They
made us feel at ease and couldn’t do enough to help. They were pleasant, funny, approachable and lovely
people. I have total trust in NST and wouldn’t use any other company.
