Vocabulary/Spelling Contract
4th Grade
Each time we explore a Reading lesson you are expected to complete a
combination of Vocabulary and Spelling assignments to total 20 points. For
example: find an antonym and synonym for each vocabulary word would be
worth 5 points, rewrite or summarize definitions 5 points, and writing silly
sentences for each spelling word would be worth 10 points. This will be a
total of 20 points. You may only do each choice one time per lesson. Be sure
you include both the Vocabulary and Spelling assignments (any combination).
This homework is meant to help you study for your test and is due the
day the test is given. Late work will not be accepted. Do not wait until the
night before the test to do all of your activities. Waiting will not benefit you
in any way. For the Vocabulary choice - make sure ALL words are used
within the context of the word discussed in class. For the Spelling part-use
only words that you misspelled on the pretest.
All assignments must include proper headings, title, be done in cursive,
each on a separate sheet of loose-leaf paper, and stapled together.
