All of our Solar System’s gas giants are outer planets, which means they are the furthest planets from the Sun. Compared to terrestrial planets, gas giants are extremely large and massive. For example, Jupiter has a mass 318 times the mass of Earth, which is a terrestrial planet. Despite their size, gas giants are low-density planets because they are composed almost entirely of gas. In addition to being large, these planets rotate extremely quickly. Jupiter rotates so quickly that it has actually flattened at its poles. The gas giants are extremely cold planets, although that is mostly due to the fact that they are very far from the Sun. Gas giants also have dozens of satellites and ring systems. Saturn is famous for its beautiful rings, which can be seen with the unaided eye from Earth. Public Free Evernote Free Merriam- Web A gas giant describes a planet that is not composed of mostly rock and other solid substances. Gas giants are almost entirely formed of various gases. These planets are not completely gas though. At the center, is what astronomers call a rocky center. This term is somewhat misleading though because the rocky center is actually liquid compounds, including molten heavy metals. The term was created by James Blish, a science fiction writer from the mid-1900′s. Gas giants are also called Jovian planets after Jupiter, the prototype of gas giants in our Solar System. There are four gas giants in our Solar System – Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. Multitenant Architecture AirWatch’s multitenant architecture enables management of devices based on user role, device type and organization group. IT administrators can maintain control of the entire device fleet at a high level while empowering individual schools and departments to maintain visibility and control of devices in their particular environment. Applications The Apple Volume Purchase Program allows educational institutions to make bulk purchases of apps and iBooks from the App Store for widespread distribution to students, faculty and staff. AirWatch has pioneered integration with Apple VPP and complements the program with centralized order tracking, compliance monitoring and license management, along with secure distribution of redemption codes. Enrich student learning using Single App Mode (iOS 7) to lock devices to a specific app during class assignments, tests and exams to keep students focused and prevent assistance from outside sources. Multiuser Management Multiple students often share devices. It is critical that data is not shared and settings aren’t changed from one student to the next. With AirWatch, apply a specific configuration to a device and reapply it automatically after each use. When a student checks in a device, wipe it clean of their personal data before the next student uses it. Teacher Tools AirWatch also supports AirPlay Mirroring and AirDrop to enrich classroom collaboration. Mirror device displays to whiteboards and Apple TVs. Configure a whitelisted set of Apple TVs so students can quickly demonstrate their assignment to the class without distributing Apple TV passwords to the rest of the classroom. Use AirDrop to share files from one device to another without sending emails to multiple devices and accounts. AirWatch Secure Content Locker Secure distribution and mobile access to educational content and department resources with AirWatch® Secure Content Locker™. Administrators can provide students, teachers and faculty with anytime, anywhere access to materials with easy updating and automatic file downloads. Integrate classroom workflow for submitting assignments, homework and teacher feedback with Secure Content Locker. AirWatch Browser Filtering web traffic on campus networks is familiar territory for most schools. With AirWatch® Browser, educators can automatically filter Internet content on devices without integration to a third-party web filtering system. Whitelist acceptable websites or blacklist unauthorized websites, ensuring students navigate only to approved sites regardless of connection type (3G or Wi-Fi). Restrictions are still in place when the students are off campus, ensuring devices adhere to CIPA regulations. Benefits • Deploy a broad range of personal, school or lab devices • Distribute and manage in-house or purchased apps • Track all mobile assets deployed across campus • Secure distribution and mobile access to educational content • Configure consistent policies, settings and restrictions • Enable shared devices with multiuser management • Enable secure access to school networks and resources • Remotely wipe school assets from compromised devices 877.367.1855 | [email protected] | air-watch.com Copyright © 2014 AirWatch, LLC.
