Battle for the Amazon – 10 days
An Ecological Study of the World’s Largest Rainforest
Summer
Brazil 2016
ABOUT CAMPUS BRASIL
Campus Brasil is a proud-to-be Brazilian organization founded by two young entrepreneurs from
São Paulo.
Specialized in academic programs, we see each one
of our groups as a family, with different needs,
objectives and expectations. It is because of this
perspective that our team works nonstop aiming to
develop state-of-the-art itineraries. Our goal is to
advance the exploration of innovating, sustainable
venues of learning outside a four-walled room, to
realize the full potential of Brazil and our programs,
inspiring a wealth of knowledge and perspectives
within students on Brazil and the world.
PROGRAM PURPOSE
The Amazon is the largest rainforest in the world.
A third of the world’s species of flora and fauna call
it home. Often dubbed “the lungs of the earth”,
this unique biome absorbs millions of tons of
greenhouse gases while influencing the weather
of an entire continent and feeding the world’s
largest river.
This program will not only introduce students to
the ecological treasures within the Amazon, but
also the host of challenges confronting this biome.
Students will have the opportunity to interact with
local leaders helping to write the future for this
ecological paradise.
Come join us as we explore the beauty and
diversity of the Amazon – and become a part of
the discovery of ecological endemics and
solutions for their sustainability.
