PURPOSE
•WHAT is the GT Advisory Council?
Advisory Councils are advocates for maintaining
and strengthening their common interest. You
are all here because you share a common
interest in Gifted and Talented students as
defined by the district.
PURPOSE
•WHAT is the GT Advisory Council?
•This group is not a task force.
•You are not charged with responsibilities
requiring significant portions of your time.
•The GTAB will not be involved in the processes
of implementation, management, finances or
supervisory activities.
PURPOSE
•WHY have a GT Advisory Council?
•This council, with a small time commitment
from each member, can produce immense
brainstorming and idea-generating power to
assist others in making educational decisions for
GT students in PSD!

•Students, Teachers, Parents, and the Community!
PURPOSE
•What will we do at our meetings?
•Focus on the State Program Plan and its
components so that we can assist our Gifted and
Talented Programs in meeting the high
expectations of our school district, our community,
and CDE.
