Spelling Homework Choices
1. Write each word three times.
2. Choose an activity from SpellingCity.Com. Print your work.
3. Write sentences for each word. Underline your spelling words.
4. Write your words 3x each in different colors.
5. Write a story using at least 10 of your spelling words.
6. Write newspaper headlines using your spelling words.
7. Sort the words by phonics- short a, short e, etc.
8. Cut the words out of magazines and newspapers and make a collage.
9. Make a word search with all of your words.
10. Write a poem using half of your words.
11. Write your words in a secret code (include the code legend).
12. Make a set of flashcards to help study your words.
13. Write a scrambled word puzzle and give a list of answers.
14. Write your words using one color for vowels and another color for consonants.
15. Draw a picture of each spelling word.
16. Write each word in special letters (bubbly, squiggly, block, etc).
17. Write a synonym or antonym for each word.
18. Write a song using all of your spelling words.
19. Write a letter to a friend using all of your spelling words.
20.Write the words backwards and forwards.
21. Write a rhyming word for each spelling word.
22. Design a bookmark and write your list of words on the bookmark.
