The News:
Vishay Intertechnology introduces a new surface-mount Power Metal Strip resistor featuring a high 1 W power
rating in the compact 0805 package size. Designed to save space in automotive and computer applications,
the Vishay Dale WSLP0805...18 combines its high power-to-footprint-size ratio with extremely low resistance
values down to 0.005 Ω.
 Advanced construction incorporates a solid metal nickel-chrome or manganese-copper alloy resistive
element that has low TCR (< 20 PPM/ºC)
 Replaces larger current sensing resistors, saving space on the circuit board that in turn will create smaller
and lighter products for the consumer
 Offers eight times the power dissipation of other devices in the 0805 package size
 For increased reliability, a reduced CTE (coefficient of thermal expansion) mismatch with the PCB reduces
the possibility of solder joint cracks resulting from thermal cycles
