LIFT GATE
TELEMATICS/SAFETY
Liftgate batteries are notorious for a short life. The eCharge 100-Watt Solar Battery Charger
ensures that lift gate batteries are always topped off and ready to go. A solar panel is
mounted flat on the top of the truck near the liftgate battery system with a two-conductor
cable that connects the solar panel to a solar charge controller located in the liftgate
battery box.
In an effort to monitor the performance, security and safety of the over 27 million
commercial vehicles registered in the U.S., more and more fleets are installing “Telematics
Systems” on cars, trucks and trailers. These systems work off an independent auxiliary
power source. eNow’s solar solution power these systems without taxing the alternator
and while eliminating the need to idle.
IN CAB HVAC
HOTEL LOADS (I.E. APPLIANCES AND LIGHTING)
Typical long-haul trucks can use 2,400 gallons of fuel per year idling its engine to run
auxiliary equipment like cabin heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
eNow’s eCharge system is a complete solar-powered HVAC system capable of delivering
cooling for cabin comfort and el ectrical power for auxiliary loads including hotel loads virtually eliminating charging from the truck’s alternator.
There is a need to provide energy to typical household appliances (Refrigerators, TVs,
Microwaves, etc) in the trucking, bus, RV and Marine Markets. eNow’s solar charged
batteries will keep the lights on and the refrigerator cold all while reducing fuel
consumption and lightening the alternator load.
REFRIGERATION
Cold Plate refrigeration is a common form of local area transport refrigeration for food
transport companies. With eNow’s solar-powered system adequate cooling is provided
during the entire delivery cycle and without drawing power from the truck battery -unlike
traditional recharging that uses a compressor plugged into shore power to bring down
the temperature of the plates.
