TEKS/SE 4.1.4A: Model factors and products
[using arrays and area models.]
• Model: to plan, construct, or fashion…
• Factors: a multiplication number sentence
• Product: the answer to a multiplication problem
• Array: an arrangement of a series of terms in
some geometric pattern, as in a matrix
• Area Model: a model of a multiplication problem
drawn in square units.
TEKS/SE 4.1.4B: Represent multiplication and
division situations in picture, word, and number form.
• Represent: to express or designate by some term,
symbol, or the like
• Multiplication: the act of multiplying to find a
product
• Division: the act of dividing to find a quotient
• Picture Form: a pictorial model
• Word Form: numbers written as words
• Number Form: numbers written in standard form
