Understanding how Humaneness, Etiquette and Filial Piety as traditional
virtues of Confucianism continue to have significant influences on
government policies, social interaction and personal development in China is
paramount when venturing to grasp Chinese culture.
James Maur :MA in Chinese philosophy with
a focus on Confucianism. His research has
compared Western and Chinese culture,
politics and philosophies, including Mencius’
and Machiavelli’s principles of international
political relations.
