The repeating part of a decimal can be so long that it will not fit on a calculator.
Most calculators round off repeating decimals to 9 or 10 decimal places.
In applied problems, repeating decimals are generally rounded to a predetermined
degree of accuracy.

number of miles drives to amount of gasoline used is gas
