With new innovations on the rise, new
empires seek exploration allowing for new
trade and domination of new territories.
3. Banking causes a decline in
European patron investments.

The prohibition against usury (money
lending) led to investment opportunities in

4. A major contribution to the
beginning of the Renaissance
was Christians introducing the
Europeans to new Islamic art.

Crusades (between the Christians and
Muslims) helped contribute to the
beginning of the Renaissance by facilitating
the revival of trade with Asia.

classical civilization (Greek
and Roman) led to a new
attitude in Renaissance
society.

The Renaissance brought about the idea
that pleasures of this world should enjoyed.
 Example:
Art showed Humanism and
Individualism by being pleasurable to the
eye.
