Vocabulary Golf
Interactive Game Lesson 10,
Amandla, Cemil, Laila, and Malika
Par
• In golf there are a certain amount of shots you
can take to get your ball in the hole.
– Let’s say that you are given 3 shots to make a hole
and you make it at 3, your score will be zero. You
haven’t gained or lost any points.
– But if you were to, for example, get the ball to the
hole in 2 shots, you would gain a point.
– This same concept will be employed for this game.
Rules and Explanation
• The class will be divided into three groups.
• Each group will then proceed to choose a representative.
• The objective of this game is to guess the
vocabulary word with as few hints as possible.
– Each question has a par.
– At the end of the game the number of hints that a
team used to guess the words will be counted.
• Their score will be determined depending on how many
hints they used compared to how many they should
have actually used.
