Structural Layers of the Earth Project This six weeks we are learning about the various structural layers of the Earth. You will be responsible for building a model and labeling the model illustrating these layers and their names. The layers that you will be responsible for are the inner core, outer core, mantle, crust, asthenosphere, and lithosphere (see the back of this sheet for a diagram). The project can be a drawing or a 3D model. This rubric lays out the minimum expectations for the model. If you choose to do more you will earn more points in the form of extra credit. The minimum expectations are: Title of topic, detailed information about topic, images relating to topic, copy of the signed rubric glued or turned in with the project. This is a project to be completed by you with minimal assistance from your parents. You will receive 1 minor grade and 1 major grade from this project.
