Do you want to explore or deepen your faith in 2016?
Through Charles Sturt University, St Mark’s will be offering a core subject, Introduction
to Christian Theology, as an evening class in Canberra during Session 1 for anyone interested in learning about the content and discipline of Christian theology.
This subject covers four broad topics: knowing God; creation and fall; redemption; and
life in God. These topics are approached through the Apostles’ Creed (centred on Christ
and Trinitarian in shape) because the goal of this introductory subject is to understand
that Jesus Christ is central to a theology properly called Christian. The subject is creedal,
Christ-centred and for the Christian community. Christian theology is best learnt and
studied within a worshipping community because its aim has always been to shape how
we live and not what we believe.
