Innovative Product Offering for Rural Markets
 “Coral NGX” platform is a SIP based switching core, that is tested & tried in hundreds of
installations. New Generation Soft switch at the core facilitates duplicated / redundant /
distributed processing to maximize network uptime.
 “ Coral Air” is “ Coral NGX” switching platform that has MSC / BSC functionality
embedded on it. It is a switching platform seamlessly integrated with RAN (BSC - BTS &
CR). Ported on a standard robust SBC, to support GSM services
 Solution is “access agnostic” so it is independent of any connectivity available in the
village – PRI / IP / E1. It can also interface on E&M / Magneto / TWT / UHF & IP
 Low Power Consumption – Can be Powered by small Gen-sets / Solar Panels/ Jeep
Battery / Wind Power etc
 Geographically distant locations could be seamlessly connected over IP backhaul to
create a private network across multiple locations.
 Superpico SDR based Cellular BTS that can support a range of frequencies (800, 900,
1800, 1900 MHZ).
 Supports redundancy on critical backhaul connectivity and control cards
 Lightweight & Ruggedized

Socio Economic Differentiator – Rural Market

Entrepreneurship opportunities for local youth in setting up & owning small to medium size telecom
networks that are complete by themselves. They will have MSC / BSC and BTS capabilities locally
providing local switching while traffic outside the network can be backhauled for communication with
the world over various types of connectivity's available like PRI / E1 / IP trunk or V sat.

Supports Analog extensions, VoIP devices, SIP phones, GSM phones & key phones with equal ease
thereby ensuring an environment, where local entrepreneur can service a variety of customer
requirements. Land line phones can be provided for specific needs. SIP client loaded on computers
or on mobile phones will provide remote extensions outside the physical location as long as (long as)
subscriber is connected to the home location over IP connectivity.

Supports “in built” pre paid & budget based billing for “Self Sustaining small GSM networks” that
can be owned managed & operated by Local village youth.

Supports Least cost routing functions for differentiated tariff options.

Supports ADSL, Broadband service and also Wi-Fi carpeting for a cluster of villages that can be
provisioned for setting up of “Call centers & BPO operations” in the villages.

Entrepreneur will promote the usage with local applications to maximize billing. As they earn more,
they will start e-governance services & will set up “call centers”.

Village Infrastructure creation and local empowerment

Job creation for people who would work with entrepreneurs

Higher level of social inclusion : Village entrepreneurs will own networks and feeling of empowerment
and greater level of social inclusion in the money making business of ICT.
Public Private Network - Seamless Working
1. These rural networks will work as “private network”, but It is possible to
integrate these rural networks for seamlessness of call maturity by provisioning
of a separate numbering plan with a telecom operator operating in the nearby
area that has global roaming agreements. When subscriber is inside the village,
he is in “private network” and he roams in the rest of the world where the
subscriber is identified by a unique number that the partner Telco will provision
2. Seamless movement of Subscriber “on call” in the macro network into the
private network
3. Seamless movement of Intercom MS into macro network
4. Multiple adjacent villages can be seamlessly Interconnected.
Coral Air BTS - Advantages
1. Converged Unified Solution with GSM-Landline- IP
convergence. Standard product can be deployed on all
situations or can be adapted for all future requirements.
2. Quick deployment in disaster sites & easy setting up of
communication network.
3. Eliminates Use of separate handset for mobile
extension
4. All mobile phones become extensions of the same
system which enables undisturbed communication
through out irrespective of nature of connectivity tool
5. Creates LCR for cost reduction.
